Analysis
This letter fails to use appropriate opening and closing formula. When writing to someone we do not know personally, it is better to use the surname or first name + surname. For example, we can write: Dear Mr. Lewis or Dear Tom Lewis.
If we want the recipient to write back, we should include an expression like I look forward to hearing from you at the end of the sentence. Put a full stop after ‘I look forward to hearing from you’. Do not put a full stop after ‘Looking forward to hearing from you’.
Letters that begin with Dear Name conclude with Yours faithfully. Note that there is no apostrophe in the expression Yours.
In formal letters like these, write your full name at the end. Do not put a full stop or a comma after your name.
